SFNY 3 is fast approaching which reminded of hearing DJ Tara drop bombs at SFNY 2, so I decided to invite her down to play a guest set this Monday! Tune in to The Main Ingredient every Monday Night / Tuesday Morning at midnight.

About DJ Tara:

Absorbing the sounds of New York since her birth in Brooklyn, DJ Tara spins a collage of sounds that captures the eclectic vibe of modern New York life.

Having performed at diverse and unconventional venues around New York City, DJ Tara is always looking for new and exciting crowds to spin for. Early on in her DJ career she realized disk jockeying is more then just spinning records; it is a matter of trust between the DJ and the crowd and sharing the knowledge and love the DJ has for the music and the feelings it projects onto its listeners. The crowd trusts the DJ to become part of another great night in their lives, and the DJ returns that favor by giving them a taste of the familiar as well as something new that may be something they have never realized was needed or missed in their musical memory.

DJ OBaH brings his Recycled Funk to the Main Ingredient this week! Tune in – every Monday Night / Tuesday Morning at midnight.

About DJ OBaH:

DJ OBaH turned a family legacy into a profession, becoming a rising industry music producer and highly sought after NYC DJ. OBaH stands for OldskoolBeatsAndHarmonies for a very good reason… the son of veteran NYC DJ/Record Dealer, Baba Chico, DJ OBaH had the world’s best funk, jazz & soul records at his fingertips. Armed with his father’s epic record collection, OBaH quickly made his mark on the NYC club scene, becoming the resident DJ at several nightclubs in his native Brooklyn.

Quickly gaining respect and a solid fan base, his first big break came courtesy of world-renowned DJ, Rich Medina, who invited OBaH to spin at his weekly party at APT in the meatpacking district of NYC. Since then, OBaH has spun in well over 50 venues in NYC, across the U.S. and Europe and has DJ’d private parties for Alicia Keys, Lenny Kravitz, Donna Karan and many other A-list celebrities. His talents have also been commissioned by such companies as Louis Vuitton, Vogue magazine, DKNY Jeans, Yahoo, Getty Images.
